The following terms and conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the VersionGopher™ website and software maintained by AstroSec LLC ("AstroSec", "we", "us", "our"). By accessing this site or using the software, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using VersionGopher, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use immediately.

2. Description of Service

VersionGopher is a software version intelligence tool that scans filesystems to extract binary version metadata and correlate it against known vulnerability databases. The tool is provided for security research, audit, and compliance purposes.

3. Intellectual Property

All content, functionality, design, and code on this site are the proprietary property of AstroSec LLC unless otherwise indicated. The VersionGopher™ name, logo, and associated marks are trademarks or pending trademarks of AstroSec LLC. All rights reserved.

3a. Patent Notice

Certain features and methods embodied in VersionGopher™ are the subject of one or more pending patent applications filed by AstroSec LLC. Patent Pending. Nothing on this site or in the software grants any license, express or implied, under any patent or patent application owned by AstroSec LLC.

4. Warranty Disclaimer

The site and software are provided on an "as-is" and "as available" basis without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. AstroSec makes no warranty that (a) the service will meet your requirements, (b) results obtained will be accurate or reliable, (c) the quality of any information obtained will meet expectations, or (d) any errors will be corrected.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AstroSec LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (a) your use of or inability to use the service, (b) any conduct or content of any third party, (c) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your data, or (d) any reliance on vulnerability data, CVE correlations, or security assessments produced by the software.

VersionGopher is a scanning and reporting tool — it does not guarantee the absence or presence of vulnerabilities. Security decisions should be validated independently by qualified personnel.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use VersionGopher only on systems you own or have explicit authorization to scan. You may not use this tool for any purpose that violates applicable laws or regulations.

7. Data & Privacy

VersionGopher collectors operate entirely locally on the target system and do not transmit data externally. The web dashboard processes data you explicitly import. We do not collect personal information through the software. This website may use standard server logs.

8. Third-Party Data

CVE data is sourced from the NIST National Vulnerability Database (NVD). EPSS scores are provided by FIRST.org. CISA KEV data is from the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency. These datasets are provided under their respective terms and are not warranted by AstroSec.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AstroSec LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the software or violation of these Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes are effective as of the "Last Updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
